Understanding why is challenging and knowing what to do with that understanding is even more demanding.
This episode is inspired by two podcasts I’ve listened to recently. Both had strong opinions about the idea of Start with Why and the intention behind it.
And both offered different solutions to what they perceived as a problem.
It seemed like neither had read the book or didn’t understand the overarching idea of what it means to Start with Why.
Truth be told – both messages irritated me.
Both made me want to start recording this episode immediately after finishing listening to theirs. But I did not do that – and it is a good thing. If I had, you would probably hear the voice of a very frustrated woman, maybe even a bit of self-righteousness in my message (not a great way to make a good first impression). But more importantly, I would not have come to realize an important takeaway.
Ultimately I agreed with both of their messages. What they were both saying is understanding your why is important but knowing HOW to use it and communicate it is what is missing or often managed in a clumsy manner.
In this episode you’ll learn how I use my why to guide my decisions – whether those decisions are in my personal or professional life. I share how I guide my clients to bring their Why to life in their brands, so the brand is more authentic to its clients or customers and their employees. Knowing the purpose behind a business is powerful.
As always, in pursuit of purpose,
